Over the weekend, our Stratus teams in Edmonton and Calgary came together to walk for something close to our hearts — Steps for Life. Steps for Life is a national walk that raises awareness and funds for families impacted by workplace fatalities, life-altering injuries, or occupational disease. It’s about turning grief into hope — and building safer workplaces for everyone. Together, we raised $1,800 — but more than that, we shared meaningful steps and read powerful stories along the path. Each one reminded us why safety is at the heart of everything we do. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who showed up, donated, and supported this cause. With over 30 years in industrial construction—starting as an electrical apprentice and moving into project and business management—Carey brings a wealth of experience and a drive to grow the Saskatchewan division while keeping the Stratus culture strong.
Carey is passionate about building lasting industry relationships and mentoring the next generation of leaders. He’s all about teamwork, believing that "There is no Stratus without 'US'!"
When he’s not leading the charge, you’ll find Carey spending time at Candle Lake with his family, snowmobiling, golfing (even if he’s not going pro), and—fun fact—he can’t pass a Dairy Queen without stopping!
